about rebekah ackerman

Rebekah Ackerman lives in a charming little Dutch town called Holland, Michigan. She has no degree—in fact, she has no credentials whatsoever—except that she is a writer.

She knows what it’s like to be completely free, no professional deadlines, no expectations, no limitations! To have the sky as the limit! And yet, feeling completely blocked.

She’s felt the suffocating pressure of disappointing her future readers.

She can hear the thoughts of (imaginary) editors, agents, and publishers dissing her work, telling her it was almost good enough, that they almost took her on If only she hadn’t done

Strangled. Paralyzed. Trapped.

This is not what writing is about!

Writing is breath and life and play and inspiration.

Writing feels like cracking your neck. Or a frosty beer on a hot summer day.

Writing is fresh like the sea. Salty. Grit between your toes. The pleasant exhaustion from lying in the sun all day.

Rebekah is a writer. An artist. A dreamer. And if you’re reading this, chances are, so are you.
